03-18-2004 Janet Breaks House and WNBA Records

Thursday evening in the Budweiser Classic League Janet Manfredi bowled games of 279
- 237 - 288 for a 804 series. This is Janets 1st 800 series and is a new women's house
record. This series is also the 1st time a woman has bowled 800 in the Newburgh Woman's
Bowling Association. Janet shot the series and lanes 27 & 28. Before bowling started
that evening I noticed that Janet was very excited about the pair she was on. Apparently
she likes 27 & 28 ( no kidding ).On her way to the 800 Janet had 29 strikes, 5 spares
and ZERO opens. She used a Ebonite Vicious 15lbs. ball. Everyone at SDB and the WNBA
would like to congratulate Janet on her great accomplishment. The series is also the
highest series bowled in the Budweiser Classis this season. By the way there are 27
men and 3 women in the league. O.K. guys she's put it out there lets see with 6 weeks
left if anyone can beat her. P.S. the 798 she shot in Jan.was the previous high in
the league. So if you keeping track Janet has the top 2 series in the league.

02-13-2004 Matt Giancotti 814 - 300

Friday the 13th was not unlucky for Matt, not that luck had anything to do with his good bowling.In the Dutchess Dodge Masters Lg. Matt bowled games of 289 - 225 - and 300 for an 814 series.This was Matt's 3rd career 800, 3rd career 300 and the 3rd 800 series in the last 3 weeks in the Masters league. Maybe everything does come in 3's. Matt left two 4 pins and three 10 pins and had 31 strikes. Matt bowled on lanes 25 and 26 and used a Storm Flash Point that he had drilled 3 weeks ags. Another 3.

02-06-2004 Barry Winter 827

In the Dutchess Dodge Masters Lg. Barry Winter Bowled games of 279 - 269 - 279 for
a 827 series.This was Barry's 5th career 800 series and his 1st in 2 years. The
series was bowled on lanes 29 30.In the series Barry had five shots that
where not strikes. He left two 10 pins , one 4 pins, a 2-8 and a 8 pin. He used a
Ebonite Conquest that he drilled that night.

01-30-2004 1st 800 Series of the Season

In the Dutchess Dodge Masters Lg. Jon Leskow had as close as it gets to a perfect
night. Jon bowled games of 269 - 266- 300 for an 835 series. Jon bowled on lanes 29-30
and decided to use a ball that he hasen't used for a while.(Storm Trama)
Jon's team members hook the ball a lot and tend to burn up the track area.
So Jon decided to use a ball that hooked more that the ball he had been using
and line up deep inside around 20.He did this so he could be more left than
any other bowler on the pair. Well the decision worked great and Jon bowled
great. Jon had one open (1st frame of the second game ,a light 4 10 split)
then threw the next 10 to shoot 266 .In the 1st game he had 2 balls that
where not strikes so for the night he threw 32 outof a possible 36 strikes.
Not bad for a bowler who just took 2 weeks off to rest a sore wrist.

01-08-2004 Womens House Record

In the Budweiser Classic LgJanet Manfredi bowled games of 279 - 248 - 269 for
a 796 series. This is Janet's second highest series. Her carrear high is 798. This
is also the highest series ever bowled by a women at Southern Dutchess Bowl.

09-09-03 1st 300 This Season **

Rich Corbo shot the 1st pefect game of the 2003-2004 season in the Tuesday
Night Classic League. This was Rich's 2nd career perfect game and his 1st at
Southern Dutchess Bowl.
