SDB 1998-1999 Season's News:
  • CONGRATULATIONS to Mike Miller & PHILS PIZZA: 
         On Friday Nite in the Dutchess Dodge Masters I witnessed one of the best
  displays of a bowler bowling well when it mattered. The Masters league has
  a playoff system to determine the league champ. This Friday was the semi
  finals with 4 teams left with a chance to win. To make a long story short if 
  you win you advance you lose your out. The league bowls 3 games 2 point
  a game and 1 for total wood. Mike Miller's team (Phils Pizza)lost the 1st
  game , so now they needed to win the next 2 to win the match. Mike is on
  my team on Thursday and we had just lost a very close playoff match the
  night before, but Mike bowled great. To get to the point of this story, 
  in the 2nd game Mike bowled 300, his team won. Now they needed to win the
  last game to advance to next week. Well Mike had the 1st 9 ( that's 21 in
  a row if anybody is counting WOW). In the tenth the game was over Mike's
  team was winning buy a lot. All that was left was for Mike to strike out
  for 300, 800 and the leagues strike jackpot. Well Mike threw the 1st
  shot a little right and left the 2-4-5. and bowled 265(he missed the
  spare,who could blame him he didn't have to shoot a spare for about an
  hour. Well Mike,that was the best I've seen in a long time with all the
  chips on the line. No one has ever bowled back to back 300's at Southern
  Dutchess. Mike had the best chance at it I've ever seen. Everyone in 
  the house that night was rooting for him, I know I was.

  • Sat.May 8 Mike Gunn hit the Casino Spare Jackpot for $400. He made the 3-5-7-9.

  • Phil recently purchased a ball from our pro shop and it appears that
  • the investment was well worth it. Congratulations Phil.

  • Joe Randazzo Hit the Casino Spare Jackpot for $800 Sat 04/23/99. He made the
  • 1-2-4-8 spare the same spare Don Brown missed 3 weeks ago.
